Five great coffee shops and cafes in Amsterdam – Part 2

Amsterdam is a fantastic and vibrant city and it is also the capital of the Netherlands. While it has gained notoriety for its pot cafes and lax stance on prostitution, it is also one of the oldest cities in Europe and boasts a wealth of culture. One of the best things you can do while in one or two of the famous coffee shops for a hit of culture, great food and drink and people watching. Stone corner

Choose from two locations in the Red Light District: the first is large and bar-like, while the second is smaller and more elegant, like a lounge. This is another great place for people watching, as it has huge glass windows that look out onto a busy pedestrianized street.

Homegrown fantasy

With a modern art museum feel, this is an unusual but charming place. While it’s easy to miss if you don’t know where it is, inside it’s spacious and comfortable. This is a pretty well kept secret, located on a not particularly touristy street that is nevertheless easily accessible from Central Station or Dam Square. One of a kind and well worth a visit.

Slime

A small shop with lovely views of Warmeostraat in the Red Light District. They open at approximately 8 a.m. M. And they close at 1 a.m. M. Every night. If you’re not a big fan of trance or house music, this may not be your cup of tea, but for those who love it, it is heaven.

Hill Street Blues

If Baba is full, no problem, because this place is only 30 seconds ahead. It’s a great place to sit and relax, especially as the back room has a lovely view of the central station harbor. If you fancy playing pool, head to the games room on the ground floor.

Tops Coffeeshop

A little out of the way, but worth it! The staff are usually very friendly and helpful, the sound system is good, the food and drink are excellent, and best of all, you have a fantastic view of the Prinsengracht. During the summer, the front doors open and the outdoor seating imparts a glorious summery atmosphere.
